About The Author

Kelly Link is the author of Get in Trouble, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. Link's writing is often described as magic realism; she incorporates elements of fantasy, science fiction and horror into her novels and short stories. Her other books include Magic for Beginners, Stranger Things Happen, White Cat, Black Dog and Pretty Monsters. She also co-edited several anthologies, including multiple volumes of The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror and, for young adults, Steampunk! and Monstrous Affections, with Gavin J. Grant. Link is a co–owner of Book Moon, an independent bookstore in Easthampton, Massachusetts. She currently lives with her family, dog, and chickens in Northampton, Massachusetts.
