My new housemate is a nice guy by the name of Kory. He had a new job working for the National Bureau of Standards and Technology (NIST) at Gaithersburg, Maryland. It is a suburb of Washington, D.C. and not too far from the apartment we share.
For those who don't know, NIST is a measurement standards laboratory that is also known as the National Metrological Institute of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Kory did have some good parts about him. He enjoyed sports and Kory was gay like myself. In that regard, we did make a good team.
I had a great time meeting hot new guys, drinking and dancing. So did Kory. But before we went hunting for some hot dick, we started making plans to drive from to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. I talked Kory into trying hang-gliding there.
