About the Author

William Cane is the pen name of Michael Christian. He is a former professor of English at Boston College, and best-selling author of The Art of Kissing and The Art of Hugging. Known as "The Kissing Doctor" to fans and TV producers, he frequently lectures at colleges and universities nationwide. He lives in Jersey City, New Jersey with his wife.

WILLIAM CANE is the author of WRITE LIKE THE MASTERS (Writer’s Digest 2009). He has had a distinguished career as a professor of English at the City University of New York and Boston College, where he taught writing. His international bestseller THE ART OF KISSING (St. Martin’s 1991, second revised edition 2005) sold more than 150,000 copies in the U.S. and was translated into nineteen languages.
