Overview

The gloves are off. Any pretense that Christians live in a decent, God-fearing society is gone. Sexual provocation is relentless. Depersonalization, greedy consumerism, abuse of power, the worship of celebrity, vapid entertainment, the murder of the helpless, and ostentatious excess - that's life in today's world.

Face it: Christians are at war. Now, for the first time, a decorated combat infantryman has examined the struggle in which we find ourselves based upon his personal experience in the jungles of Vietnam.

- Kingdom Soldiers trains you to analyze the attack directed against you.
- Kingdom Soldiers equips you to resist in the face of temptation.
- Kingdom Soldiers exhorts you to strive for purity in an impure world.

Kingdom Soldiers will open your eyes to the nature and tactics of the enemy and help you find victory over sin, the world, your flesh and the devil. Kingdom Soldiers is a call to arms for all who belong to the Lord of Hosts.

About the Author

Whether it's military combat or spiritual war, Rick Montgomery has been in the trenches. He served in Vietnam with the 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry of the 101st Airborne Division, the storied "Currahees" of Band of Brothers fame. There he was twice wounded and participated in the last pitched battle of the Vietnam War, between American forces and the North Vietnamese army, in July, 1970. In the years following his discharge from military service, Rick lost his way in a labyrinth of sin, from which God is leading him to freedom using the principles and ideas that form the basis for Kingdom Soldiers.

Rick is a graduate of West Virginia University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. With his wife, Racquel, and their children, Rick lives in Pittsburgh, where he serves as a volunteer administrator with The Pittsburgh Experiment (www.pghexp.org). He enjoys movies, is active in his church and roots for the hometown sports teams.
