Kid2Kid, Keepin' it Safe Online
In a first of its kind, JackieFame,(www.JackieFame.net)kid entrepreneurs Joshua Swauger (age 10) and Zachary Swauger (age 13) have released their first book in the “Kid2Kid" series, "Kid2Kid, Keepin’ It Safe Online”.

The book aims to help educate kids about online safety and helps parents better understand the issue facing today’s technologically savvy kids.

It probably isn’t a stretch that the brothers have co-authored a children’s book that provides valuable lessons since they have learned a great deal about online safety while building their online social network for kids, Jackie Fame.

“Kid2Kid, Keepin It Safe Online,” is intended for ages six to thirteen and is easy for children and parents to read together. The authors intend not only to teach kids about online safety, but they also give kid-to-kid advice on other important issues such as careful texting and living a healthy life outside of technology.

The twenty easy-to-read chapters cover topics including Safety, Privacy, Protecting Passwords, Chat Rooms, Texting Pictures and Videos, Cyberbullying, Plagiarizing and Online Shopping. The topics are aimed at helping kids understand the incredible, powerful, but sometimes scary world of the Internet.

"Kids spend so much time in front of the computer, tablet, phone and other devices these days. We think it is important for kids to read this book and to talk to their parents about what they are doing to stay safe. We want to share some of the things we have learned throughout the process of building our network” said Zachary.

“As soon as you’re old enough to click a mouse button, it seems you can access the world from your bedroom”, says Joshua. “But going on the Internet can also create problems and dangers for us kids. Our book makes it easy for kids to understand the good, the bad, and the flat-out ugly - and there’s plenty of all three online.” Joshua added.

About the Author

Brothers Joshua Swauger (age 10) and Zachary Swauger (age 13), have been building the JACKIE FAME brand and a variety of product lines for the past several years.

From the Jackie Fame BrandFAME apparel line, FAMEbody and FAMEnails personal care lines, to cool watches, awesome athletic wear, and the Jackie Fame book series "Kid2Kid", the brothers have been hard at work spreading the word about Jackie Fame.

When Zachary wanted to join a popular social network, his mom expressed concern about the safety and content of such networks. Realizing other parents had similar concerns the boys decided to create their own social media network built around their Jackie Fame brand. On 1.1.11, the brothers launched www.JackieFame.com – a social media portal, built around the brand and its core values. The Jackie Fame Network (.NET initiative), www.JackieFame.net launched 3.1.11, planned as the hub of all Jackie Fame platforms. The FAME AMERICA online talent contest, and BRAND FAME, the Company's personal care and apparel product lines are scheduled for launch in participating retail locations 11.11.11.

Who is Jackie Fame?

"Jackie Fame is everyone... It's not a gender or a skin color. It's not just about being famous, like an athlete or movie star, FAME is about more, much more, including the arts, music, school, work, helping those in need, and even how we treat our friends and family." Says Joshua.

"It's every one of us who strives to be the best, all the time, at whatever we do. Now that's TRUE FAME, that's Jackie Fame." added Zachary.

While the brothers are in the process of building revenue, they both vow to donate a percentage of proceeds generated to charitable organizations that help other kids such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics and other important local children's charities.

Stay Awesome!
