About the Author

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kendra Nicole is a graphic designer and photographer from New Jersey, USA. In her youth, she received the Louis Kloss Award in 2013, Certificate of Achievement for Highest Art Average in her school district along with many other art awards. Kendra won first place in a county art contest illustrating the dangers of tobacco use and second hand smoke. She also had her art published in a local newspaper at the age of 12.

While continuing towards her dream of becoming a full time artist, she studied studio art, ceramics, graphic design, and learned programs such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Procreate and Photoshop. Kendra Nicole took on some jobs to fund her passion, including: pizza making and waitressing. The artist enjoys hobbies such as pottery, piano playing, cooking, designing tattoos and candle making. She plans on continuing her education in art. Painting, sculpting and designing digital art are her favorites when it comes to creating art.

The artist’s work is very much inspired by her upbringing in New Jersey, a mixed culture neighborhood just a few miles away from NYC. The start of Kendra’s creative dive began when she got coloring books and art supplies and would spend hours creating art with her cousins. Art class was the highlight of her day and she without a doubt put her all into her projects. She was nicknamed ‘The Overachiever’ in her graphic design class by her art teacher. Kendra Nicole was a member of the Gifted, Talented and Creative Art group at school and would help create a sea themed mural in the science room. She also worked with other students to create a one of a kind galaxy tree mural for her graduating class. Her main goal is to help others and share her creative art with the world. She wants to make a difference in the world and loves to express herself through her artistic works.
