About the Author

C. JEROME FAISON, II is a professional drummer who grew up as a military child. His early interest in golf led him to create the idea and story for this book when he was in the second grade. Jerome, now a young adult, enjoys music and percussion instruments. Jerome Faison is a percussionist who played in school and university bands as well as for choirs and ensembles.

KENDALL I. FAISON is an Environmental Scientist who grew up in the military with his father serving as a military officer. Kendall became the main character and subject of his brother Carl Jerome's idea book when he was only a first grader. Kendall has always enjoyed academics, sports, and volunteering work. He is a graduate of UVA and now works in the Environmental field.

DR. LATORIAL FAISON is an American poet and the author of over 14 books including the three volume series, 28 Days of Poetry Celebrating Black History. Dr. Faison has taught college English all over the U. S. and abroad. A graduate of UVA, VA TECH, and Virginia State University, she has been published in Stars & Stripes, Southern Women's Review, Forging Freedom, Kalyani Magazine, the NAACP Image Award winning book, Keeping the Faith, and numerous other literary outlets. Dr. Latorial Faison is married to COL Carl Faison (Retired US Army). She co-authored and illustrated this book with their two older sons and gave it a poetic flair. Dr. Faison and her older sons dedicated this book to her youngest son, their younger brother, Kaleb. Dr. Faison currently teaches on the faculty of Virginia State University.
