About the Author

After graduating high school, I got married to my high school sweetheart (we went to different schools together). We spent several years living in various parts of the country while he served in the army.
We raised two children (of course they are wonderful). While my children were busy growing up, I stayed busy continuing my education and working. First, I went to H&R Block School and worked for them for several years, and then I started my own income tax preparation business. I am still active in that business and have well over 360 clients that keep me busy even during non-tax season.
I went to the University of Pittsburgh and earned a bachelor's degree in business management. While I was going to PITT, I got a job where I worked for almost 30 years as a technical writer. I wrote the servicing manuals for nuclear powered aircraft carriers, and consider the highlight of my career was the privilege of getting to go on the sea trials of the USS RONALD REAGAN. It made me even more proud to be an American.
My husband died of a heart attack at the age of 52. I had a busy life and had no intentions of remarrying, and then a childhood friend that I hadn't seen for over 30 years showed up. So, my name changed once again.
Since retiring from technical writing, I have published three novels under the pen name of Jalynne Lewis (look me up at amazon.com or b&n.com).
Kathryn's Home is my fourth novel and my tax business still keeps me busy and gives me lots of ideas to write about.
Life is good.
