Overview

The events of the novel by Lena Eltang unfold on the Italian coast, in the Briatico Hotel, a snow-white hotel standing on a hilltop, a family estate surrounded by vineyards. Circumstances bring here characters connected by invisible threads, among which the main character Markus is a writer who has lost the ability to compose, a student who has lost her brother, an heir who has lost his estate, a police commissioner investigating strange deaths ... A detective story typical of Eltang prose is overgrown with events that have occurred in different years, dramatic coincidences and new meanings. The content of this multi-layered and polyphonic novel is much deeper than the search for the answer to the question "Who is the killer?", although the reader will not be able to guess this answer until the very end.
