Overview

‘Kama Sutra Tantra’ is a pictorial-poetry book. It is erotic and sensual with the added dimension of Higher consciousness; this is Art and Not Pornography. It is made to open people to the realms of desire without shame or guilt, the narrative is created to allow people to enjoy freely, share and be enlightened in their approach to Love-making. The original Kama Sutra was written solely from the male perspective with no response from the female during a feudal time when the male, the King was able to dictate what he wanted from his female concubines. This domination by one person in the relationship is changed in this book to allow the female partner to express fully her own desires, equally. The mantra of the book is, ‘The Greatest Pleasure is to Give Pleasure’. This arrangement allows for the ultimate human feelings being shared between man and woman. The conclusion of this book is to present Tantra Love-making into a renaissance of modern life. Crimes against women are finally highlighted here with many reasons behind them, so that they are not allowed to exist in light of a conscious environment whereby dynamic, positive, physical, emotional and spiritual intimacy are enhanced through trust and mutual respect. The true, natural LOVE experience Not the ancient traditional, religious/hierarchical, male dominated, powerful taboos which only oppressed women is brought to life through the passion of bliss and ecstasy which is the awareness the World today is searching for.

‘Modern Provocateur is an expansive contemporaneous term that describes artwork that depicts or is about human sexuality. The art thematics may include polemical intent, e.g. challenging political or socially inscribed roles. As part of the contemporary art movement, these artists engage their public often in very challenging ways. At times, artwork features transgressive content and form including the depiction of what has been long regarded as private in unexpected formats. This work however moves far beyond pornography or erotica, as it is critically engaged in not only the expression of sexuality but also the idea of reception. In terms of visual representation, it can be either explicit and include images, symbolic motifs or it can be the evocation of human sexuality in allegorical, metaphoric or symbolic terms. The category encompasses all mediums, from classical studio works such as sketches and painting to film, multimedia, sculpture, photography, digital and performance based work. The terminology takes into account not only social change, e.g. more societal openness about female sexual expression, the increasing acceptance of bisexuality, homosexuality and transgender people within culture, this genre also addresses formal concerns such as the pervasiveness of sexualized or erotic imagery in the digital world, commercial or otherwise, as well as post-war artistic practice that involved the use of the body as the canvas or primary expressive mode. The complexity of this type of visual art is in part because when it does cause scandal, protest, outrage or shock, the criticism is often myopic, and does not always take into account the entire narrative or concept behind the work or the maker or the construction of socially acceptable parameters. As well, particularly in western culture, a less than holistic attitude towards the expression of sexuality exists. Modern Provocateur celebrates the beauty of the anima and animus within each of us, and permits both the artist and the viewer to express and explore without shame or apology.’ From Wikipedia

About the Author

Inspired by the sixties Sunny started traveling the world in 1970. His spiritual journey on the hippie trail to India took him through San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Vancouver, Sidney, and Kathmandu, finally arriving six years later in Varanasi. His arrival on the sub-continent was the beginning of writing autobiographical verses capturing his travel experiences, encounters with remarkable people and his quest for self-realization. Combining experimentation with drugs, sex, rock & roll, meditation, and life in general Sunny started to open up to a multi-dimensional universe. He lived the mantra, "Turn on, tune in, drop out," getting in touch with and inspired by a deeper feeling of nature. Over almost four decades Sunny has written and published 28 books of poetry, created over a hundred paintings, traveled the world and considers his masterpiece to be his daughter. He has spent the past fifteen years in Goa, India inspired by the idealism of human consciousness.
