About the Author

Marc Lendler received his B.A. from Antioch University in 1970. For the next eight years he worked in a variety of factories in Cincinatti, Ohio. He then went on to receive his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University. Professor Lendler has taught at Connecticut College, Mount Holyoke, and the University of Pennsylvania. He now teaches Political Science in the Social Science division at Bennington College.
