Jupiter's Diary - Volume II - The War Comes Home
Parts of this novel, by William Addison, are ripped from today's headlines. Two organizations, one a Special Black Ops Force crew, retired, and a major Metropolitan Police Department Major Case Squad, are both on the trail of those men and women who commit crimes against people, mainly young people, by bringing in drugs, of every kind and description, into our lives. Jupiter, a code name used by a man who prefers to remain unidentified to the world, and the Council of Nine, his unit, continue their quest; ridding the world of criminals who, sometimes for whatever reason, slip through the cracks of judicial systems. Using their training as Military Special Black Ops Force, having served their country in more than one theater, Jupiter and his men have sworn to avenge the death of Jupiter's child in a drive-by, drug related, senseless shooting spree involving her school bus. Attempting to enlist the aid of Seth Hamilton, a Detective Sergeant with the Metropolitan St. Louis Police Department, Hamilton and Jupiter are at odds over each others handling of how people should be arrested. Jupiter is a self-proclaimed Judge, Jury, and Executioner. If you did the crime you get punished - immediately upon getting caught. Hamilton, sworn to uphold the law, with Jupiter as a protagonist, is almost killed in a botched attempt on his life by the criminals both he and Jupiter want to bring to justice, one way or another. Jupiter's interest runs deep. Not only is Hamilton one of the best at what he does; he is unaware of the fact that he is married to someone very close to Jupiter. The action and real time problems that we face everyday in this world will keep you a moving through this novel at a fast pace.

About the Author

Bill Addison's background has threads running through radio, television, and print media’s over several decades. His career spans more than fifty years, beginning in radio news, where he was awarded 28 United Press and Associated Press Outstanding News Coverage; received over a period of 14 years. Addison moved into television, both anchoring and as news director, for an independent television station in St. Louis. He and his news department received four national news awards from the Associated Press in the same year for their reporting on illicit drug testing on mental patients at Missouri State Institutions. Bill was credited with developing the concept of a five minute news report, five times a night in prime time, for television. Called “Update News” Addison anchored those newscasts for seven years. His newsroom was one of the first to use a new media for news gathering called “portable video camcorders” instead of shooting news events on film. The television station, and Addison, were lauded by the FCC for “The Most Innovative Programming of News”. Bill moved from the independent station to CBS serving as Executive Producer for News in the St. Louis CBS station. His responsibilities included overseeing all newscasts and street coverage for the #1 rated news station in St. Louis. Addison left CBS accepting a position as an investigative reporter for Jack Anderson’s organization in New York. Bill worked with the North American Newspaper Alliance, covering such stories as the Buford Pusser “Walking Tall” trials in Tennessee, investigating the UFO’s of southern Missouri, and deliberate violations of drug testing by Serile Labs, while with the Anderson organization. Bill has produced television programs for CBS, NBC, ESPN, HBO, Showtime, and others for independent distribution. He has also been a stringer for ABC News. .
