Cherie Esteves was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, the city she so affectionately calls her first love. There she was deeply rooted and heavily influenced by the rich, diverse crosspollination of the European American culture that makes New Orleans one of the most unique and intriguing cities in the world.
Cherie moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1989, where she raised her two beautiful children and has continued to live for over twenty years. Her production company’s name, Creole Peach Productions, was born out of her alliance to both cities.
Cherie has been quoted as saying, “The term ‘Creole Peach’ is a synonym for my personality as well as my writing style. A sweet, tender Southern peach with all the bite of a spicy New Orleans creole dish.” Her sweet but spicy writing flare comes through in the tone of the blog she authors called “Christian City Chick,” which is written to inspire the ladies who understand the struggles, trials, and temptations that are commonplace in the modern woman’s life, attempting to balance spirituality and a contemporary lifestyle. No stranger to using the internet as a platform, Cherie has boldly spoken about a variety of provocative topics. Utilizing her internet radio platform, she cohosted a weekly talk show called “Divine and Dirty Talk,” where she shed light on certain topics in order to bring awareness to taboo subject matter, openly tackling such subjects as human trafficking in a spiritual context—subjects that have traditionally been swept underneath the rug due to their uncomfortable nature.
Cherie’s passion for the many issues and challenges that are unique to women is also apparent in her writing. It’s a major part of Cherie’s personal mission to help heal the women and children who have suffered as a result of living in environments of physical, mental, verbal, or emotional abuse.
