About the Author

Alton Sears is the author of "A Journey Of Transition" 5 Volume Set Embraces Art, Prose, Poems And Vignettes. The Work Spans 41 Years and Contains Approximately 3600 Writings That are Thought-Provoking, Inspirational, Amusing and Nurturing.

Alton Sears was born and raised in New Orleans. He had very little education and was, for all intents and purposes, illiterate. He joined the service and subsequently became addicted to heroin and alcohol. At 35, and after embracing recovery, he was given the opportunity to further his education thereby allowing him to pursue his passion of writing. Additionally, he became a Certified Addictions Counselor and worked for the United States Navy until his retirement in 1997. As a result of this vocation, he also wrote and self-published a pamphlet entitled "Second Stage Recovery", formerly "Victim Survivors", dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He resides in San Marcos, California.
