The late J.J. Jackson was one of the five first-ever MTV video jocks. What many don't know is that Led Zeppelin credits him with successfully launching the super group's career.

Frank Reddon, author of the acclaimed book, Sonic Boom: The Impact of Led Zeppelin, has compiled six interviews that he conducted with J.J during the course of his research.

In an unprecedented move, Reddon made available to J.J. the live concert recordings of the legendary early gigs Jackson emceed for Zeppelin at The Boston Tea Party in January 1969. The two then discuss the music as only someone who was there at the time possibly could.

About the Author

Frank Reddon is a horticulturalist, musician, open level tennis player and ultra-marathoner with a passion for the music, influence and historical legacy of British rock band, Led Zeppelin.

Since 1980, he has been actively collecting both the band's official releases and unofficial live concert recordings.

As a result of his collection, he has contributed valuable research materials for the extremely successful Led Zeppelin book, Led Zeppelin Live: An Exploration of Underground Tapes by Luis Rey (Final Edition. The Hot Wacks Press, 1997).

During the course of researching his hardcover book, Sonic Boom: The Impact of Led Zeppelin (officially published on September 7, 2008), Reddon conducted six interviews with the late J.J. Jackson, whom Led Zeppelin counted as a friend and credited with successfully launching their band's career.
