Overview

Originally conceived as a double-album project by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber back in the days of vinyl albums, the original version was a huge success, leading to stage shows and eventually this, the original motion picture soundtrack version of Webber's original score. The score is conducted here by Andre Previn with cast vocal support by Ted Neeley, Yvonne Elliman, and Carl Anderson. Fans of Webber's over-the-top glitz will not be disappointed in this version, as the soundtrack was the perfect opportunity to milk the score for all it was visually and musically worth. ~ Cub Koda
