Overview

The historic-critical method in biblical studies caused the geographical data within the Gospel of Mark to be criticized since the author does not seem to be familiar with the places that are named in his gospel. This book appreciates Markus as a story teller and theologist, however his geographical knowledge and the mentioned happenings are not explained by plausibility or the historicity, rather than the order of happenings and pure intention of the writer is being focused on instead. This map is a creation being the oldest gospel by Mark and will be analyzed further based on literary points of view and explained in its historical context.
