Jefferson Avenue & Chene
This story is written and solely based in the early to late 1980's.
New York, California, Miami, Chicago and Atlanta were known for their elite and elaborate dance clubs. But you can also argue that the city of Detroit should be added to this list as well. House Music made its way from Chicago to Detroit. Ronald Reagan was President. Mayor Colman A. Young was king of Detroit. Young Boys Incorporated and The Best Friends Gang were at their peak and spreading their terror across the city. The 1984 Detroit Tigers won the World Series. Detroit Hitman Thomas Hearns was our very own welter weight boxing champion for a while. The Bad Boys, Detroit Pistons were the team to beat in 1989.

I dedicated this book to the irresponsible men who have no idea how to handle a beautiful, committed, intelligent and strong woman. It's sort of a blueprint of what not to do when your young and in a serious commitment.
This is a story about one man's unraveling and loss of the best thing that ever happened to him. You don't always know what you have until it's completely removed from your life.

Remember, It's not always about you. Often times it's about the person you chose to spend the rest of your life with. You are the gate keeper to that woman's heart.
Communication, honesty, trust and compromise are keys to any great relationship.
Karma is also a real thing. Whatever pain you caused a person, always seems to find its way back to you.

The best thing you can do in a new communion is to put each other first before any and everything. Be committed and grow together. Fix any problems you have before you decide to retire for the night. Oh, and one more thing. Keep God first. Nothing is easy in a relationship. Believe me it's hard work. But if you put the time and effort into it, nothing and I mean nothing can be more gratifying. Remember two people together can accomplish so many things in life.

This is a raw story of trials and tribulations. A lot of love, sex, abuse and lies. The people in this story are fictional but the events that take place throughout this book, may have happened or may have not. Who knows?

About the Author

Eric Wright was born and raised in the great city of Detroit but is now a native of Pontiac Michigan. He is the oldest of five siblings, and also a published author. Before discovering his passion for writing he was a Restaurant Manager and then became a Chef. He was also a local deejay playing at major events throughout the state of Michigan. At a very early age he had a passion for writing, telling fictional stories that seemed to be very real. Known for writing short stories, many followers suggested that he should create a complete book and that's what he did. Now he's here to not only write for his followers of his street tales, but to share his urban, fictional stories to the whole world.
