Believing his arch enemy had been defeated, Jake and Jane returned to their Chicago neighborhood. With a new office and new clients, the pair were looking forward to a more relaxed routine of just solving cases. However, life had other plans. Together the couple take on a new case that leads them to a tropical island paradise where they encounter a foe more deadly than they've ever faced before. The mental and physical limits of Jake and Jane are challenged throughout the case, threatening to tear them apart. The two must find a way to overcome their trials and defeat the evil forces allied against them. Together, they uncover the truth of the mysterious island and learn the truly dark side of what humans are capable of.
