My Great Grandfather wrote this piece of art for my Grandfather in 1934 prior to his death in 1940. Gerald B. Wadsworth published "PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF ADVERTISING" in 1913, but this book describes his beliefs regarding religion. He was a very progressive thinker for his time. He felt there should be no barriers when it came to humanity, that we are all the same and only divided by lack of understanding and greed. He expresses his belief that Creative and Intellectual Purpose should be our only religion; everything else causes a division in humanity, and nature and science play a vital role in indulging why we were put here. He idolized our decedent Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and even though hate was still very prevalent in the early 1900s because of skin color he took his belief to a whole new level believing all hate, for any reason wrong.
