About the Author

Gayle Nobel and Kathy Almeida are the moms of two young adults with autism. They have experienced the unique challenges of raising sons with special needs for twenty-nine years and have been close friends since first meeting in 1991. Gayle is a former special education teacher and also has a brother with autism. She is an inspirational speaker and parent mentor.
