Selly lleva el agua salada en las venas, así que cuando su padre la abandona en el puerto de Kirkpool, no tiene intención de pasar el invierno en casa mientras él zarpa en busca de aventuras. Pero sus planes de seguirlo se ven frustrados cuando un apuesto desconocido con reveladoras marcas de mago en el brazo se apodera de su barco. Se trata del príncipe Leander de Alinor, quien necesita cruzar el mar Medialuna sin ser detectado para poder completar un ritual en las sagradas Islas de los Dioses. Selly has no desire to escort a spoiled prince anywhere, and no time for his entitled demands or his good looks. But what starts as a leisure cruise will lead to acts of treason and sheer terror on the high seas, bringing two countries to the brink of war, two strangers closer than they ever thought possible and stirring two dangerous gods from centuries of slumber...
