About the Author

What is written in this book actually happened to me. I wrote my story in January 1975, two years after I returned to Israel from London. In 1979, when I first attempted to publish this story, the publisher said that the Israeli authorities objected because it was too soon. In 1999, they permitted its publication.

I was the only Israeli working within the university's laboratories and was therefore, in a position to discover that the university was giving patronage to Arab terrorist organizations to develop chemical, biological, and atomic weapons.

It was a time of war and terror between Israel and the Arab countries and there was a general Arab boycott of Israel.

Because of my ability to bring this information to Israel, I turned from being a small screw, whose place in the system was unimportant, into being one of central importance. The information that I delivered certainly aided the State of Israel.

The story happened because I was Israeli. Had there been another Israeli in my place, he too would have been forced to leave the university unless, perhaps, he had been a traitor to our country.

The first part of this book describes an ordinary life.

In the second and third parts, the troubles and unusual things begin.

It is only in the last part that the extraordinary happens. But those who do not read the first part may misunderstand what occurs afterwards.
