Chapter One

Isabella wants to invite her best friend, Sage, over for a play date.

"Mommy, can Sage please come over to play today?" asks Isabella. "I want to show her the new toys I got for my birthday."

"Yes, Isabella, she may come over to play but you will have to SHARE your toys with her," says mommy.

"I don't want to SHARE my best dolly, mommy," says Isabella.

"Well, Isabella, SHARING is caring. When you SHARE with Sage you will show her that you care about her," says mommy.

"I have an idea," says mommy. "Set aside the toys that you are willing to SHARE with Sage and those will be the toys that you SHARE during your play time."

"Okay mommy, I will show Sage that I can SHARE."

Sage and Isabella have a great time playing that afternoon. Isabella SHARES her toys and the two friends have a wonderful play date. Isabella even decides to let Sage play with her best dolly.

"Isabella, I am very proud of you for SHARING with Sage today," says mommy. "That was a very nice thing to do."

After dinner, mommy decides that everyone can have ice cream for dessert.

"I know Sage likes ice cream too. Would you like to invite her over to SHARE ice cream with us?" asks mommy.

"Oh, that's a great idea! Sage loves ice cream," says Isabella. Isabella invites Sage over to her house. She is there in no time.

Sage and Isabella sit at the kitchen table and SHARE a big bowl of ice cream with hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry on top. They eat and eat until they are full. Both Isabella and Sage have ice cream moustaches. The girls giggle at each other. It is fun to SHARE.

"Thank you for SHARING your ice cream with me," says Sage. "You're welcome," says Isabella.
