Editorial Reviews

AUGUST 2015 - AudioFile

Narrator Simon Jones’s British accent and sarcastic tone lend themselves well to the subject matter of these brief articles by WALL STREET JOURNAL advice columnist Dan Ariely. Much of the advice is obvious—or should be— but clearly someone asked such questions as “How do I avoid overeating at night?” to begin with. There's nothing heavy in here—like a plan for world peace—but it's fun. Lacking the cartoons that often accompanied the advice column in the newspaper, Jones provides the cheeky edge to some of the exchanges. Some of the answers are good, and others sound a bit silly, but, overall, Jones gives the work the respect it deserves. M.S. © AudioFile 2015, Portland, Maine
