About the Author

Stephen Lucius Gwynn (1864-1950) was an Irish writer and Protestant nationalist politician who served as Member of Parliament and fought in World War I.  Among his many works are Tennyson (1899), The Fair Hills of Ireland (1906), Robert Emmet: A Historical Romance (1909), and an autobiography, Experiences of a Literary Man (1926).
