About the Author

Leslie Kimmelman is the author of many children's books. After working as a children's book editor for several years, she published her first book, Frannie's Fruits, in 1989. Some of her other titles include Everybody Says Shalom, Trick Arrr Treat, and Hot Dog! Eleanor Roosevelt Throws a Picnic. She was the senior editor and writer for Sesame Street Magazine for a long time, and she has been part of the Sesame Workshop for more than 20 years.
