About the Author

Once upon a time, a spirited human girl who believed she was a woodland fairy asked, "Mommy, will you draw me a unicorn?" Already a weekend sketcher and not one to disappoint my wee fairy, I obliged. A few unicorns later, she was charming me into drawing all her favorite characters! Soon I found myself spending hours on them, adding color and shading. I discovered techniques that resulted in dramatic lighting effects. When my woodland fairy left for college, I began creating in earnest. Whimsical works of art have been my passion ever since.

From my little art studio just two blocks from the beach, I bring you my curious creations, and now my stories as well. Colorful and energetic my artwork is often based on recent dreams, evoking a sense of play and wonder - windows into other worlds.

When not "doing art" I am walking the beach with my husband and our little dog, "Scraggy, who is always a willing sidekick. I love music and singing - sometimes professionally - and I'm currently writing a novel.
