About the Author

Richard Hampton grew up in a remote mountain community in Colorado, in a town of less than thirty people. He fished, tapped, hunted, explored, and played in the lush plains and rivers below their house and the mountains beyond. In the winter, Hampton loved reading stories, but history was his favorite subject to read.

Later in life, Richard joined the army as his father had, and his father before him. During his service, he suffered several injuries. After many good years of service, Hampton left the army and moved to Tenkosha, Michigan, with his wife and two children. Hampton now resides in the beautiful, small town of Marshall, Michigan, where he continues to write.
