Purpose: The purpose is to provide professionals with a reference for interpreting results of a semen analyses.
Audience: The intended audience is practitioners, urologists, and family practice, obstetrics/gynecology, and internal medicine physicians.
Features: The authors provide the evaluation of the semen analysis in a simple, easy-to-read format. All necessary topics are covered. However, there are no pictures of abnormal sperm.
Assessment: We are not told if the author is a urologist or an obstetrician-gynecologist. A statement on page 3 is quite troubling, as it implies that males do not need to be evaluated; rather, a semen analysis and knowledge of female fertility is needed to master this field. There are no pictures or illustrations. The book is somewhat useful for a small audience.
