Insurrect Me
Melody and Handcream MacClean learn of a suspicious delivery bound for the Capitol on January 6th, the day of the 'peaceful' transfer of power. Their son works at the Capitol. He's a D.C. cop. Melody, a polymath, now suffers from early-onset Alzheimer's. Handcream, a wood turner, is certain the election was stolen and fully intends to do his part. Anjanette Delgado: Editor of Home in Florida: Latinx Writers and the Literature of Uprootedness "William Kirk's debut novel is refreshingly quirky, hilarious and heartbreaking. About the Author

William Francis Kirk was a Navy Brat, made and born in Japan; shuttered between Hawaii and California for a bit, until nesting in Alabama, before optioned back to California and receiving a degree in philosophy and a wife in extraordinary behavior from the University of San Francisco. Later moved across the Bay to Oakland, then to Phoenix, rebounded to Thousand Oaks before the last sprint to Doylestown. The author spent his working years dropping down into the latest and greatest catastrophe, an insurance claim checkbook serving for a parachute. He worked with people who had lost everything, guiding their rebuilding lives and beliefs from scratch. He has two grown sons, who have never disgraced him, at least as far as he can tell, which is as far as a father needs to know.
