About the Author

People have invented “icebreakers” to get to know each other better. I hate them. I always feel awkward while talking about myself. Some of you might find it funny, but that’s the reason I chose to write this book using a pseudonym.

But here I am, talking about myself after all. My name is Alex Caicedo. I am a father and a husband.

I am originally from the Midwest U.S. and lived on the east coast for a while before moving to the western part of the U.S.

Currently, I work in the financial sector. I wrote this book when I was going through a rough patch in my life. My family made me realize that I did not act on the advice I passed on to others.

Back then, I was struggling in my life. I had gotten terrible at looking after myself. I constantly suffered from burning out professionally and personally. And I thought I couldn't be the only one going through this.

There is great turmoil in the working world. Millions of people change roles and departments, switching between industries to pursue something meaningful and rewarding. Along the way, we fail to keep hold of habits that can keep us going on. Back then, I struggled to find advice which would bring effective change in my life.
