About the Author

Alan Brookes has previously written several technical books about architecture, building construction, and has advised on the cladding and glazing of many innovative projects including Singapore Arts Centre and Federation Square, Melbourne. He is currently Professor of Building Technology at T.U Delft, The Netherlands. Previously he was visiting professor at Oxford Brookes and Aachen University.

Dominque Poole has recently completed her PhD in Architecture with a thesis on 'Technical Innovation in Construction'. She has been employed to carry out research in the fields of technical innovation and knowledge management by a variety of architectural and engineering firms including Buro Happold and Arup Research and Development.
