Inherit the Kingdom: Heirs of God and Joint Heirs with Christ
What you need out of life is already at hand, and it is yours! You are the perfect child of God, and as such an heir of God and joint heir with Christ, Jesus. I’d like to bring you into a fuller awareness of this fact. I have written this book to help you gain or regain what is rightfully yours. All people of every race, color, creed, age, and gender identity are welcome to partake at the “table” of the Kingdom. No one is turned away.
A word of loving caution is in order. This is a Christian book. At the same time, a New Age Christian book. It looks at the teachings of Jesus the Christ in a new light. I mention this fact at the outset so that neither Christian nor New Age student will be surprised. It is my prayer that the opposite will occur: Each will be greatly pleased and blessed. Please come prayerfully and openly to these pages. In addition, much of the phraseology used in Inherit the Kingdom will be familiar to Christian Scientists; after all, I was a member of that church for twenty years! Gathering the wheat from many church experiences in life, it is no wonder that some of the language in this volume reflects my love for them all.
The contents are laid out in logical sequence. Part One presents God and man in a different light, citing each of the seven Scriptural names for God, and how these relate to man. Your unique relationship to God is explained in each chapter. Part Two defines evil and its threats, and gives extremely clear instructions about how to get out from under its grip, including protection from evil. In Part Three, I discuss the concept of perfect man, the modern church as it should become, and universal Light. Throughout the book, I highlight key phrases to promote easier reading.
The Glossary, which appears at the end of this book, is the result of a recommendation from one of the students in the classes. He said, "Paul, whenever you sense that a word needs a definition, you pause and then explain the word to the class. I think it would be helpful if you were to include a Glossary at the book so that the reader wouldn’t have to run for a dictionary to find out what the words mean, or continue reading without adequate information."
What this little volume means to you, as you read it, is whatever you create it to mean for you. This is what is true about this book. Only you know what roads you have traveled, what burdens you have borne. You alone know what experiences you have had to bring you to this book. You now begin to create this book from your uniqueness, individuality and points of reference so that you may claim your heritage. You can do whatever it is that you must do with your life, beginning right here and right now.
As the author of the Inherit the Kingdom, it means one thing to me. As the students in my classes on spiritual metaphysics have been exposed to this material, it has meant something special for each of them. One of the students commented, and quite correctly, "This book is the history of man, both on the earth and off it." For me, it is more of a spiritual autobiography, a running summary, if you will, of the thought patterns that I developed through the years; to bring me a greater sense of freedom in the way of health, professional growth, sufficiency, and love. The primary reason for its being, however, is to share with you the abundant spiritual blessings that have been mine.
