Overview

have lived, travelled, and worked in Belize and the Yucatan for the last twenty years. This is a part of the world I’m intimately close to and fond of. I own a home in Belize and I spend every free moment I have either there or in the southern part of Quintana Roo, the most beautiful state, in my modest opinion, of the Yucatan. My observations and insights are personal, but I know that armchair tourists or anyone wanting to travel to this part of the world will find my book interesting. Since I consider myself an unconventional tourist, I talk about places that are unusual and off the beaten track. The pictures are personal, and most belong to me. I give tips and advice to make travel less stressful. This book is about places that don’t cater to the average European or American tourist. No high end resorts or tourist traps here. Hopefully, after reading my book, travellers will be motivated to visit these enchanting areas of Central America.
