Written after a long and agonizing run in the middle of a snow storm by the Potomac River in Maryland, "In The Snow" is a short story of what happens when inspiration comes from the oddest of places. Our protagonist goes out for a run to clear his head from a fight with his fiancee. While running, a snow storm comes and makes him think hard about his relationship with the love of his life. Will he make it home?

About the Author

Rene F. Najera was born and raised in the mountains of northern Mexico. He attended the University of Texas at El Paso for his baccalaureate degree, and the George Washington University in Washington, DC, for his Master of Public Health degree. When he's not investigating outbreaks or keeping track of communicable diseases, Rene is writing about anything and everything, from fiction to scientific reference. His passion for writing started at an early age, even writing a "sequel" for "Lord of The Flies" in his eight-grade English class. It was never published. Rene and his wife are the proud "parents" of two cats, a dog, and a gerbil.
