Ann Carol Ulrich started writing about Annette Vetter when she was 15, growing up in the '60s. "In the Shadow of the Tower" is the fifth in the Annette Vetter series. Ms. Ulrich is a native of Wisconsin, but has lived in Washington, Oregon, Michigan and Ohio. She has spent most of her life in Colorado.
