Now, Mayor Jericho has hired the help of the Conquisitors, the top scientists in the region, to reclaim their throne at the top of the food chain. Their job is to find out what makes Creatures tick, and how they can be "cured" back to their Human state. With Hope and a prayer, Humans will take on their greatest battle yet as they fight against a foe that looks like them on the outside, but is nothing less than a blood-thirsty Creature on the inside.
But Creatures will not go down without a fight. Skyelar Jericho, Mythic and granddaughter to the mayor, refuses to let her family destroy an entire species. She just has to get through some of her own issues first. Her mother despises her; her grandfather wants her dead; and her boyfriend, Aezra, wants to drink her blood. With her own magic too weak to stop him, Skyelar finds solace in the company of Elias Luck, an ancient Mythic with magic akin to her own. But when Aezra persuades her to be his blushing bride, Skyelar will have to find the power within to keep herself safe at all costs.
