Patty Nun graduated with the highest distinction from Grace University earning a Master of Arts in both Psychology and Biblical Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies. She is a licensed mental health practitioner and a licensed professional counselor.
Patty served in Mississippi during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, offering emergency counseling service. She was invited to present seminars on Christian Pastoral Counseling for hundreds of indigenous pastors and church leaders in both Mexico and India. Her training material entitled Paraclete has been translated into seven languages. Through her work in Ensenada, Mexico she launched a women's support group, worked and taught in a drug and alcohol rehab center, and served as a counselor on a medical team. Prior to the birth of her and her husband's six children, she experienced nine years of infertility and several miscarriages. She is a survivor of a sexual assault.
Patty and her husband have led a national sales organization for Heartland International, Inc. for over forty-seven years. She is a grandmother, the author of five books, and has written over fifty Bible study curriculum, including the companion Bible study to In Spite of it All, entitled The Bathsheba Legacy.
