In God We Live
In God We Live is an account of experiences which became the ground for Warren Ostroms discovery of the holy universality the Spirit, the Presence in whose hands he now gratefully finds himself. He describes his early empty times in church and fragments of spiritual fulfillment during his teens then his adult experience of the ground of being, both humbling and exhilarating. He shares also incidents in his work as a psychotherapist which have taught him to live from the center and affirm that others, no matter how different, are rooted in the sacred.

About the Author

Except for three years in the army (where he was a journalist) Warren Ostrom has lived all his life near Puget Sound in Washington State. He holds a bachelors degree in sociology, a diploma in journalism, a masters degree in social work, and has done a year of studies in comparative religion. He was a psychotherapist in a community mental health center for three and a half years. For the last live years his time has been divided between a position as social worker in a geriatric assessment clinic and a private psychotherapy practice. He became a member of University Friends Meeting (Seattle) in 1983.

This pamphlet grew out of discussions with his wife, Jana Ostrom; with a friend who spent nine months at Pendle Hill; and with faculty and fellow students in the comparative religion program at the University of Washington. It traces the authors journey as he finds a personal religion which culminates in his joining University Friends Meeting.
