About the Author

Iris Gillispie - Publisher of In Frame Visual Arts Magazine, is a 25-year veteran of Los Angeles' fashion, film and television industry. During Iris’ time in Los Angeles she also co-owned Makeup Techniques of Hollywood, a California state accredited trade school.

Retiring to the east coast was a big change for her. She soon discovered that retirement wasn’t to her liking -- she realized she had to reinvent herself, as the work she did on the west coast was not possible on the east.

After 4 years of exploring different venues to satisfy her creative entrepreneurial thirst, she discovered that publishing was right up her alley. With her resources in Hollywood and the new found artists’ community on the east coast, her magazine is always filled with unique visual content by talented artists, with loads of photos of their works. Iris now enjoys her life on the east coast and her continued connections to her friends and former colleagues in the city that helped launch her careers, "The City of Angels" -- Los Angeles.
