Immortal: Uprising
It would seem to most that immortality without consequences would be the perfect life. Sareena had the perfect life once, but she could hardly recall any of it. Now the Immortal life is constantly controlled, monitored, and manipulated by a tyrannical, power drunk bitch: Cathryn.
Sareena has always loathed her.
Cathryn murdered her one true love Jonah, simply because Sareena refused to do Cathryn’s constant bidding. Spending over a hundred years searching for a way to bring Cathryn down, Sareena has now reached a point of complete hopelessness.
Having been accompanied by Jak for the past ninety or so years hasn’t changed the uncontrollable anger surging inside her. Sadly, Jaks emotions are not complex like her own. While most Immortals feel very little emotion, Sareena feels it all. From the painfully sad times, to the happiest of celebrations, Sareena is constantly overridden with feeling. All the while, no one understands.
Soon Sareena begins to realize that Jak can lessen her anguish over Jonah’s death. He has a gift, as most Immortals do, of sensing emotions surging around him. Now that she feels like someone may finally understand her, she starts to fall for Jak at the worst of times; Cathryn is out to kill them, and has taken many more Immortals prisoner.
It’s time for an uprising.
Jak and Sareena struggle to evade Cathryn and her conspirators as they fight to find a place for their love to fit in…and a place for Cathryns heart to be cut out.
