About the Author

Phyllis Barker-Pittman- A native and lifelong resident of Racine, Wisconsin is a loving, kind and caring woman of God. She has worked in the health care profession for over thirty years, serves as a parish nurse and advance care planning facilitator at her local congregation in Racine. She also use those valuable resources to educate her community.

She and her supportive husband have raised three wonderful children who have blessed them with eight amazing grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She attends church faithfully, enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, especially during the holidays and special occasions. Her relaxing time is spent reading/studying the Bible, listening to and singing gospel songs as well as other variety of music. She also enjoys entertaining in her home, taking nature walks and gardening. Additionally, Phyllis receives much pleasure and fulfillment in encouraging and uplifting others.
