About the Author

Jenny Sokol is a US Naval Academy graduate, former Naval Officer and Marine Corps spouse. She has written a weekly column about motherhood and military
life for the Orange County Register since 2003.

Jenny searched extensively for children's books to help her children cope with their dad's two deployments in Iraq. Not able to find the book she was looking for, Jenny vowed to one day write and publish it herself. I'm a Hero Too is that book.
