About the Author

Miraculously healed of deadly tuberculosis at age 17, Oral Roberts dedicated his life and ministry to bringing the Gospel and God's healing power to his generation. Since the start of his healing ministry in 1947, Oral conducted more than 300 healing crusades on six continents and wrote more than 120 books and Bible commentaries. The first person ever to bring TV cameras into a live healing service, he gave millions a "front row seat to miracles" right in their own homes through the new medium of television. Among his many other achievements, Oral founded the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association, Oral Roberts University, and the Abundant Life Prayer Group, which takes over 3,000 calls for prayer each day. In 2009, at the age of 91 and after more than 70 years in ministry, Oral went home to be with the Lord.

Today, the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association, led by Oral's son Richard Roberts, continues to reach out to hurting people through Miracle Healing Meetings, overseas outreaches, the School of Miracles®, the Abundant Life® Prayer Group, daily television programs, books, CDs, DVDs, and other inspirational material.
