Overview

Have you ever wondered what the Devil would leisurely read? What kind of stories help put him to rest after a long day? Certainly, even HE would have something dear to his heart to ease him into sleep.

Compared to what we would deem as safe, comfortable, and happy tales to read to ourselves and even our children, HE would enjoy something that tiptoes more around taboo topics.

In these pages are stories and poems about how daily tasks can certainly turn out horrifically wrong. Whether it's about a boy selling coffee that made the whole town sick or a girl dreaming of her first kiss. See how a first home purchase comes with more than just the property value.

Find ideas about dystopian futures where even in a world where there is no violence between humans and see if it really is safe. Can robotics evolve emotions? Is the relationship between man and artificial intelligence peaceful?

Read some tales about accounts from people who have interacted with creatures who hide in the shadows. The dead have their own stories to pass on, and rightfully so. There are even moralistic stories about how desires can get you into trouble beyond whatever your mind can comprehend.

All these delightful experiences are here for you to enjoy. Read one at a time or go by sectional themes.

Who said nightmares are a bad thing? The Devil certainly needs them.

About the Author

Born in Central Oregon, Adam has always had a desire for telling stories. Even if it was a mundane drive to the grocery store or how dinner went, there was always something there to share. Enticing family and friends, even strangers around him into taking a moment from their daily lives and into a world of imagination is a routine practice for him.

Through the many experiences that Adam has gathered in his life, he has always written down every idea that came to him. Now with comfort and confidence, Adam has brought forth a collection of short stories to start with and soon dozens of fictional novels to publish.

Inspirations would be authors such as Chuck Palahniuk, Edgar Allen Poe, C.S. Lewis, Philip K. Dick, and many others. Adam loves treading through subject matter that is a blend of dark comedy and horror with thrilling aspects. Catching the attention of the reader and making them think of the book the next day is all a writer can strive for.

Adam is also accompanied by his dog Huxley and pestered wonderfully by his cat Edgar.
