Identify, as defined by Dictionary.com, means “to recognize or establish as being a particular person or thing; to verify the identity of or associate in name, feeling, interest, action, etc.” Identify with Me is a book that can be used to stimulate discussion about self-esteem and diversity. Identify with Me is a portrayal of different ethnicities living the unique life GOD blessed them with. The book evokes compassion for all people because it demonstrates the fact that ethnicities are created different but share one important characteristic: the need to be loved for who you are.

About the Author

Mrs. Anita Taylor Smith has been married for 10 years to James I. Smith Jr., who is an Iraq war veteran. They have four beautiful children, James III, Jacie, Jackson, and Jamaul. Anita holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is certified to teach Pre-K – 12 Grade Physical Education and Health in Texas and Georgia. She has worked with many military families while teaching at Shoemaker High School in Killeen, TX and E.A. White Elementary School in Ft. Benning, GA. Anita is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She currently resides in Columbus, GA where she mentors young girls and stays at home with her children.
