She has one son, a special daughter-in-law, and three wonderful grandchildren who are growing up way too fast. She lives in South Carolina, USA, and camps at Myrtle Beach whenever possible. Her continuous fight with chronic health problems has slowed her down in the past few years, but she is determined to enjoy life for as long as the Lord allows. She enjoys the challenge of adding a special twist to her stories of traditional romance. Usually they involve the paranormal, mystery, adventure, suspense, or a bit of fantasy along the way to a happy ever after ending. Mrs. Vickery has also branched out into speculative fiction with several short stories published to date. With ironic twists and unusual tales in the style of Edgar Allan Poe and Alfred Hitchcock, she hopes readers will enjoy her short stories in this genre.
