About the Author

Amber Rizaei is the Author of "I Dream in Dari" and "123 Dari." She is currently working on a new series of children's books focused around a young boy growing up in Afghanistan. Be sure to keep a look out for this new series in 2022.
Amber is of Swedish, German, and Italian descent. She was born and raised in the United States. Amber is married and has two daughters and two German Shepherds. Her husband came to the United States in 2004 as an Afghan refugee. Less than 1,000 Afghan refugees came to the U.S. each year from 1991-2000. Meeting her husband was truly one in a million.
Amber and her husband celebrate both cultures and teach their daughter to be proud of being Afghan and American. In fact, one of her daughters was Miss Afghanistan USA 2022. Her family strives to educate others on Afghan culture and give back to children in Afghanistan through AFCECO.
One of her greatest mottos is: 'We only fear what we do not know.'
