In her book I Can't Believe That Was Me...oh, yes I can and it still is, Lauren Taylor provides a decision process summarizing each chapter to illustrate how choices made, or not made, impact a life for decades to come. The book, although largely autobiographical, begins with a tongue in cheek history lesson establishing the culture from which she came and delves briefly into her childhood wherein one can glimpse the development of her rather unique personality. From there Lauren laughs along with the reader as she chronicles the "off the wall" events that occurred as her life unfolded.

The real Lauren has grown into an independent, mature woman who has completed her corporate experience and is now consulting on her own. Her motivation in writing this book was two fold, first to provide a comical yet learning experience using her life to illustrate how choices in life have impact but are survivable. Secondly, the book provided her a catharsis as she moved through the culmination of her second "Saturn Returns" and entered what is most likely her third and final phase of life. About the Author

She is the young woman of the 70’s and 80’s seeking to find her place in the business world while satisfying the expectations of society of that era. Lauren struggles with “fitting in” in an environment where young women were expected to continue their role in the “back seat” of corporate board rooms, and yes, the “back seat” elsewhere as well. However, Lauren’s natural comedic self will not allow her to let the situations derail her, but instead serves to lighten her load and carry her on to the next adventure on the horizon.

Lauren is the past that set the foundation for the present as well as the future. She is both well loved and hated for her commitment to purpose and her belief in the promise of the Desiderata which proclaimed:

“ You are a child of the universe, you have a right to be here…”

Lauren has recently left behind her second Saturn Returns and has entered into what is most likely her last and final phase but which has already provided her a glimpse of her future, one where love she has searched for most of her life will emerge.
